Let's add innovation pedagogy to your teacher's toolbox
Learn the skills that the Finnish innovation pedagogy experts know and implement every day. Innopeda® for Teachers participants can immediately begin implementing the skills they learned.
The training includes workshops, collaborative work and visits to different learning environments. By the end of the training, the participants will receive the Innopeda® for Teachers Certificate.
Teacher well-being plays a key role in the Finnish education system. We think that innovative teaching methods are reached when teachers themselves have opportunities for active and collaborative learning.
Innopeda® for Teachers offers tools and methods to meet the standards of new pedagogical culture, innovation competences, assessment and teacher well-being.
On-site, online or hybrid
The training is conducted at Turku UAS’ EduCity campus, Finland, by various Innopeda expert trainers and other educational professionals.
It can also be organized at the client’s premises, in hybrid mode or entirely online.

Content
The training includes an introduction to Finland, the Finnish Educational System, and Turku UAS.
Other topics include the basics of the Innovation Pedagogy Framework: its main principles, cornerstones, innovation competencies and assessment. The participants will discuss the new learning culture, renewed teacher roles and how to work towards a sustainable future.
Each participant will create an individual development plan in collaboration with and under the guidance of our Innovation Pedagogy experts.
As a result, the participants will apply what they have learned in the real-life context during the training.
Itslearning LMS
Turku UAS provides access to itslearning LMS, an online learning environment of Turku UAS. In addition, all learning materials are provided in electronic format for easy online access.
At the end of the training, the teachers have acquired an understanding about innovation pedagogy as a strategic approach and as a practical application in everyday teaching.
The teachers will also have acquired innovation competencies as part of the daily activities in the educational environment, with students, colleagues and the surrounding society.
Finally, the teachers will be able to adopt the concept of continuous improvement, which leads to a more flexible way of teaching, researching and developing not only their own but colleagues’ and students’ skills.
